MLK Father’s Love Letter

Martin Luther King Day is January 18, 2010 and always the third Monday in the month of January.

This day is a United States holiday marking the birth date of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is  one of three United States federal holidays to commemorate an individual person. The Martin Luther King Day bill was signed by President Ronald Reagan on November 2, 1983, creating a federal holiday to honor him.

A parade held every year in downtown Jacksonville, honors Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Several of the many organizations, who are entrants in the parade, often download the Father’s Love Letter to reproduce, to hand out along the parade route. This year, a Father’s Love Letter has been designed in honor of  this great man, and is available for free download at the Resource Page.
