The Need for Fatherhood and Motherhood – Family

Dwelling in the Love of our Father brings us safety, security, assurance, peace, direction, refuge, acceptance, identity and purpose. When we receive a love like this, we are fearless, without compromise and then feeling as if we can do anything.

Thus the faith statement immerges within us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When we stumble and fall, we want to get up again, because we know we will find this same Love embracing us again and again. It is our nature to find this place of comfort. We were made for greatness and for a purpose; created to be loved and to give love. If we want to know why we are here and for what purpose, we can only find it in the One who made us.

Because we came out of Love, we seek Love. God is Love. God and Love are inseparable. He first loved us! In Him is our identity. In Him we live and move and have our being! In Him is found no fear because perfect love casts out fear. Within this Love is found the true sense of family. The spirit of an orphan does not exist there. Therefore, competition, jealousy, covetousness, greed, bitterness, resentfulness and divisions will not abide there. This family is made up of true sons and daughters who honor and esteem one another and show forth the love of God within them.

Sadly, we find this “family” missing on the most part within our society today, even within our churches. Man will naturally seek the place of rest, a place of acceptance; once called home. Often fulfillment, of this inward seeking for home, finds us in a counterfeit solution of some kind. These are all temporary fixes and for a season may appear to be fulfilling that inward yearning we all so need fulfilled. In actuality, we are seeking to find “the relationship” for acceptance that we were made for, and end up in any number of situations through the use of counterfeits for His love. Not only have drugs and alcohol and various sexual pleasures been a part of these counterfeits, so has religion that seeks to drive us to succeed in works. We strive to be accepted one way or another. Rejection will cause us to seek the approval of man.

Abiding in Father’s Love, just as Jesus did, eliminates all the things that so easily beset us. When all else is gone, love will remain. Let us love as He loves, as we can, through Him. The whole earth travails and waits for the revealing of the true sons and daughters. We ‘will’ be like Him!

An Amazing Testimony For A Local Marketplace Ministry!

Eight years ago, Shawn Bayliss, was very comfortable in managing 6 salons with a comfortable paycheck, medical benefits, and a passion for educating stylists for Paul Mitchell & Matrix. Life was good and pay was predictable until one Sunday morning at New Life, his pastor, mentor & spiritual father, stopped and said, ‘Shawn, the Lord has a word for you come here,’ and that’s when his life dramatically changed. The Lord said that He was giving Shawn, his own salon, where God is to be magnified and glorified. Six weeks later, the salon became a reality, through faith and bold declarations in the face of doubt and unbelief. And the products and stations matched his expectations. The name of the salon came through them both hearing from the Lord in two different locations. When they came together to tell what they had each heard, they found that the Lord had spoken the same name of the salon to them separately: The Master’s Touch Salon.

Now, a major makeover has taken place, through the obedience of some people who had heard this prophesy 8 years before; and knew it was now time to upgrade to Shawn’s liking and to the Glory of God! This transformation can cause everyone to be speechless and blown away by the love of God! This is a two-sided card and quarter-folded into a greeting card. It consists of two documents, one is the outside cover, as pictured to the left, and the other is the text of the Father’s Love Letter; both available on the resource page, along with many other versions for vocations, events, businesses and holidays.

‘I have been an artistic designer for hair for over 17 years. My passion is color. I have won 3 awards for my artistic design and have been an educator for John Paul Mitchell, Matrix and Sebastian. I have worked hard to receive the advanced education needed to be a certified Master colorist. I love to design with my razor, but scissors work just as well. I believe that every head is a canvas waiting for an artist to paint. All that I do, I do to honor HIM and give Him the glory for all that I have.’

She is also our Bridal Consultant, specializing in makeup application (Mac Certified) and Wedding styles.’

‘Donna has been a stylist for 25 years, specializing in “Big Jersey Hair.” She is from NJ and knows how to give you the look of more hair than you actually have. She is a Certified Colorist and has worked in NY and Palm Beach.’

Debbie Klassan, Master Stylist

Debbie has been a stylist for over 20 years. She is the one to go to, if you have thin hair. She specializes in perms. Debbie can do magic with perms and her cutting techniques on thin hair is amazing. She also has won several awards for her ‘updos.’

Terrie Barlow, Stylist & Professional Photographer

Terrie is known for her fast and precise gentleman’s cut. She is one of the few who can use a scissor or clipper and you’re done in 15 minutes with a perfect cut. Terrie is also an expert with gentleman’s color; she is a barber and a cosmetologist.

Terrie is also a professional photographer, pairing up with Charlotte to give you the wedding look of your dreams.

Kym Hamson, Master Stylist & Colorist

Kym has been in the industry for over 20 years. Her vast knowledge and experience has kept her busy teaching at a local hair academy. She specializes in the latest trends in color and cuts. She has been an educator for several of the hottest color and product lines on the market. She also has the advanced certification to hold the title of Master colorist.

Here’s Life Inner City is the compassionate, urban ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. They partner with churches, ministries, businesses and a multitude of volunteers to provide hope and practical help for the poor of metropolitan Jacksonville; serving and mobilizing the church to live out God’s heart for the poor and help fulfill the great commission.

Campus Crusade for Christ Here’s Life Inner City Jacksonville Ministry

Trainings – To deliver a Box of Love, a person needs to attend a Boxes of Love Evangelism and Follow-up Training. The goal this year is to train 2,000 people to deliver the boxes evangelistically.

The initial training will be offered Saturday morning on August 28^th, 2010 (Trainer’s Training) at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32217. (Continental breakfast and registration start at 8:15 a.m.; the session begins at 8:30 AM and training ends at 12:30 PM). The cost is $5.

Please distinguish between new participants and those who have attended at least 2 of the trainings.

Remembering Bryan Turner

Bryan Turner, child of God, lover of God, loving husband and father, faithful friend, associate pastor, founder of The Jesus Bus, a man of many talents and mighty man of God and Daddy God’s little boy! You will be greatly missed and your life lives on through all those you touched! We are grateful to God for you and we thank you!

It was a rare thing to find him without a smile and without his Bible or a tract to give out. He gave of his time and gave to others. As seen in the picture, above left, he often stopped the bus to tell others of God’s love; as he did when he saw these children. His heart of compassion and love, compelled him to go; just like Jesus, he was always showing the Father’s heart toward everyone he met.

At National Day of Prayer at Latham Plaza in Jacksonville Beach with The Jesus Bus, below. He brought the sound system that was used for this event and at the same time, he was sharing the love of God, during set up and break down! Several souls came to know the Lord as Saviour!

When it got dark, he played the video of Father’s Love Letter, on the big screen, for the crowd that remained, as seen below.

National Day of Prayer for Youth/Young Adults held at University of N Florida, below, on the left; and at Sandalwood High School, for another year for National Day of Prayer for the Youth, on the right.

At Super March for Jesus, the sound system was used to assemble the crowd for prayer before and after the Super March for Jesus. The same week was Super Bowl, where Bryan parked the bus in the midst of the crowd, along the river and shared the love of God with everyone he met, as the music played and the Gospel was preached.

Bryan saw the need and came to fill it with himself and The Jesus Bus; it becomes the sound system for a local church, that was burnt to the ground and now having to meet in a tent. Another outreach, below, giving out school supplies with other ministers…

And at the Baseball Stadium downtown for National Day of Prayer, below, to the right. Bryan went from neighborhood to neighborhood, across denominational lines, racial lines and economic/social barriers to share the love of God…If he could not make it himself, he sent others to take his place, so that the love of God continued to flow into highways and byways of The First Coast.

The greatest way we can help this family is to first pray, follow the life as modeled by Jesus and this man of God, and also:

Encounters with God!

Your destiny is fulfilled in love! Let Father God reveal His love for you as you rest. He will take you on a journey into the depths of His heart, through Holy Spirit and Jesus, His son. Be free from stress in the resting place of His love…trust the One who made a way for you to trust.

These are but a few of the accounts/stories that are shared by those who come to soaking rest each month. Most of them are about His unfathomable love for us, His children. When we recognize that we are His beloved ones, His sons and daughters, who He loves, a sense of belonging causes us to soar to new heights!

As you read these loving words, affirmations, and visions from God, accept them from His heart to your heart as well:

‘Ocean depths are not as deep as My love…there are no measurements to adequately or precisely account of its depths for you; no need to try My love. For when you find the expression, deeper it will go and higher it will ascend.’

‘I long for you, for you are Mine. Now just enjoy it! Go ahead; you have My permission to splash! The river is a place of joy..of love…of delight…of refreshing…it never ends for My love is from everlasting to everlasting. Be swallowed up in love. This love satisfies every longing; and many waters cannot quench this love…no shame exists within love, only life. So be consumed, overwhelmed, overtaken, swallowed up, enveloped, absorbed in the love meant for you to enjoy.’

‘Joy, you ask? Joy is the expression of complete satisfaction, of complete peace, of complete delight , of complete freedom and the evidence of the fullness of love divine. All is for you to enjoy, My beloved.’

‘Fear cannot exist in love. It cannot find its way when love fills the atmosphere. Fear loses direction and cannot find a place to rest….And love is paramount for your quests!’

‘The most beautiful story of love is being with you!’

‘Don’t confuse darkness with deep and places you do not want to go, for I Am with you, holding your hand!’

I saw myself as a bee and He said, ‘Curl up and ‘be’ in My hand.’ (He desires that we rest.)

He danced with me, held me in His arms, touched my cheek, and looked into my eyes.

When pondering my childhood, He said, ‘It is never too late, I can create in you what was never nurtured.’

‘Father knows me and what I like and He delights in me.’

Fear broke off…to destiny!

He said, ‘Put your feet right here (on top of His), let’s dance little one!

I saw lots of balloons and clouds and a playground and there were lots of children at play, twirling around and so free!
