Recruiting people to be on teams throughout Jacksonville to pray for our firefighters and their families. We will also pray and minister to victims at response sites such as fires, accidents, etc. This is in coordination with the Chaplain of the Jacksonville Fire Department, with approval of the Mayor. Spread the word to those who may be interested!

At the orientation training, you will hear more about the logistics. Feel free to invite others you know who have a heart to help people in crisis. There is no charge for this training.

If you love praying, believe in prayer and love ministering to people, you are invited to a training for the Spiritual Care Response Team (SCRT). SCRT is officially approved by the City of Jacksonville as a spiritual care and prayer team of the Jacksonville Fire Department!

Teams are being raised up, who can be ready to respond, like volunteer firefighters, to help the Chaplain of the fire department. Our mission is to reach out with love and compassion through prayer and ministry to people effected by disaster and trauma. Our long term vision is to raise up a community-based team for each fire station in the city. This is a wonderful ministry opportunity.

Directions: Take Adams Street west from downtown toward I-95. Turn left on Lee Street (the building is red brick and on the corner). Turn left into the gated parking lot. Press the call button and the front desk will open the gate. Park in the lot and walk up the driveway into the back door at the curve in the drive. Go to the front desk and they will direct you to the training room location.

Speakers:
Trevor and Linda Galpin, as pictured above are part of the Fatherheart Ministries and are the Coordinators of Fatherheart World that is based in Taupo, New Zealand. Working alongside James and Denise Jordan, the directors of FHM, they minister at churches, conferences and Fatherheart Schools. Fatherheart World is a network of friends who share the revelation of the Father’s love that the Jordans have been teaching for many years.

Trevor and Linda have been involved in Christian ministry for over 35 years. They have served as Pastors in the UK, New Zealand and the USA, Missionaries in Italy and planted churches in the UK. They have had extensive experience in counseling in the area of bereavement and substance abuse. They have a desire to see the message of the Father’s love reach every nation and stream of Christianity.

They will be supported by an experienced teaching and prayer ministry team, including David Costello, pictured here with his wife, Jeanne and Others!
