Recruiting people to be on teams throughout Jacksonville to pray for our firefighters and their families. We will also pray and minister to victims at response sites such as fires, accidents, etc. This is in coordination with the Chaplain of the Jacksonville Fire Department, with approval of the Mayor. Spread the word to those who may be interested!
At the orientation training, you will hear more about the logistics. Feel free to invite others you know who have a heart to help people in crisis. There is no charge for this training.
 If you love praying, believe in prayer and love ministering to people, you are invited to a training for the Spiritual Care Response Team (SCRT). SCRT is officially approved by the City of Jacksonville as a spiritual care and prayer team of the Jacksonville Fire Department!
Teams are being raised up, who can be ready to respond, like volunteer firefighters, to help the Chaplain of the fire department. Our mission is to reach out with love and compassion through prayer and ministry to people effected by disaster and trauma. Our long term vision is to raise up a community-based team for each fire station in the city. This is a wonderful ministry opportunity.

Directions: Take Adams Street west from downtown toward I-95. Turn left on Lee Street (the building is red brick and on the corner). Turn left into the gated parking lot. Press the call button and the front desk will open the gate. Park in the lot and walk up the driveway into the back door at the curve in the drive. Go to the front desk and they will direct you to the training room location.

Give one to your co-workers, friends, family members and others. If you give gifts of flowers, candies, and etc., adding a Father’s Love Letter alongside them.
Valentine’s Day ranks second only to Christmas in the number of greeting cards sent and dates back to the Middle Ages. There are a couple of legends that have been passed down over the years, behind the man named St. Valentine; these legends are printed on one of the versions.
Though the love of God is shared in February more than any other time, there is never a time Father is not loving us! The original Father’s Love Letter and other designs are also available throughout the year and available for other holidays, events, businesses and ministries.
Easy Instructions: There are two documents to download to create a quarter-folded card. Print the selected outside version, preferably on a good quality, 24 lb. paper. Then place it back into the printer, in the right direction, to print the inside (the text of the love letter), creating a two-sided document; and then fold in half and in half again, to form a greeting card for your encounters with various people, family, neighbors and friends.
